Will Smith to Star in 'I Am Legend' Sequel with Michael B. Jordan Joining Cast!

A sequel to the 2007 movie I Am Legend is in the works and Will Smith will be returning alongside new franchise star Michael B. Jordan.

It’s being reported that Will and Michael will not only star in the movie, they’ll also serve as producers on the exciting project.

Plot details for the sequel are not known at this time. The first movie followed a man named Robert Neville, who is the last healthy human living on Earth after a biological war, but he is not alone. The other humans have become vampire-like mutants, and all are hungry for Neville’s blood. By day, he is the hunter, stalking the sleeping undead through the abandoned ruins of civilization. By night, he barricades himself in his home and prays for the dawn.

Deadline reports that Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman, who wrote the screenplay for the first movie, will also pen the script for the sequel. He will also serve as a producer.
