Renee Zellweger Revealed The Unusual Way She Arrived To The 2020 Oscars Two Years After Winning Best Actress

Renee Zellweger is opening up about her iconic Oscar win during the 2020 ceremony, and revealed that she actually got to the ceremony in an unusual way.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show this week in NYC, the 53-year-old actress explained that instead of getting a car service or even a limo, like is normal for celebrities and their teams, she walked!

“I want to be grounded when I go in. I just want to get in touch with my family, talk to my mom and dad and my brother and do things that keep you grounded before you go in,” she explained of her decision to do so. “So I have a couple of rituals and things that I like to do before I go. I like to walk. I don’t like to get in the car with the long limo ride.”

Host Jimmy Fallon was clearly surprised at her admission and had Renee clarify.

Renee then added that it was actually hard to pull off as the “only hotel room that was available was a half a mile away.”

“I don’t recommend it,” she told the audience. “But it is a good exercise for keeping you grounded. It was raining that night so I was extra grounded when I got there.”

Renee picked up the Best Actress honor at the 2020 ceremony for her role as Judy Garland in Judy.
