Katy Perry Laughs Off Hilarious Wardrobe Malfunction During 'American Idol' Performance

Katy Perry made an expert recovery after having a wardrobe malfunction on American Idol!

In a clip of Monday’s episode (March 28) published by People, the singer was in the midst of an impromptu performance of “Teenage Dream” with fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan when she bent over and ripped the back of her pants.

“They busted,” Luke yelled as the contestants laughed, while Lionel added, “The concert is officially over!”

Katy then asked if she could get some tape, with some crew members coming over to help her tape over the rip. Watch the clip here!

The “Never Really Over” performer had a similar situation happen back in 2018 on the show, when she laughed so hard that she caused her silver jumpsuit to rip. She then stood up to show the audience, at which point Lionel leapt up to cover her backside. You can see that video down below.
