Lee Daniels & Mo'Nique Reconcile After Years-Long Feud: 'I'm Sorry for Hurting You'

Lee Daniels and Mo’Nique are patching things up.

The pair were embroiled in a feud for years after the 54-year-old actress accused the 62-year-old director of blackballing her from the industry for not promoting their 2009 film Precious.

“I am so sorry for hurting you in any way that I did,” the director told Mo’Nique in the clip. “She was my best friend, my best friend. Y’all think that Precious was just — that was God working, through both of us.”

He continued, And we’re gonna f—ing do it again!” referencing their upcoming horror movie Demon House. The pair then danced together on stage before hugging and saying “I love you” to each other.

They also shared photos of the moment to their respective Instagram accounts, with Lee writing, “♥️ no caption needed @therealmoworldwide,” while Mo’Nique said, “NO CAPTION NEEDED I LOVE US 4REAL❤️.”

In 2020, it was reported that Mo’Nique had launched a discrimination lawsuit against Netflix.
