Dan Aykroyd & Donna Dixon Announce Separation, Will Remain 'Legally Married'
Dan Aykroyd and Donna Dixon are separating after 39 years of marriage.
The former couple announced the news in a joint statement to People, where they revealed they would stay “legally married” but are on “separate life paths.”

“After 39 years as a couple we are now on separate life paths. We remain legally married, co-parents, co-workers and business partners,” they said. “This is our choice in loving friendship.”
Dan, 69, and Donna, 64, first met in 1983 on the set of their film Doctor Detroit and married the same year. The Ghostbusters star had previously been engaged to Carrie Fisher in the early 1980s.
The pair went on to star in a number of movies together, including Twilight Zone: The Movie, Spies Like Us, The Couch Trip and Exit To Eden.
They share daughters Danielle, 32, Belle, 28, and Stella, 24.
