Videos on TikTok have been going viral and the FDA is now speaking out to warn people against following the advice.

Many users have made videos in which they use a “hack” to make avocados stay fresh for longer periods of time without turning brown.

The Food and Drug Administration is warning against the hack and has revealed the harmful consequences that could occur.
