First Lady Jill Biden Tests Positive for COVID

Jill Biden has coronavirus.

The 71-year-old First Lady of the United States tested positive for COVID as of Tuesday (August 16), the White House confirmed.

She was on vacation with President Joe Biden in South Carolina when she began experiencing symptoms on Monday (August 15), via THR.

She was prescribed the antiviral drug Paxlovid and will isolate at the vacation home for at least five days.

Joe Biden tested negative for the virus on the same day, the White House added. He will be wearing a mask indoors for 10 days per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance. Joe tested positive in July, and recovered from a rebound case of the virus earlier in August.

We are wishing the First Lady a speedy recovery at this time.
