Fetty Wap Pleads Guilty to Federal Drug Conspiracy Charges

Fetty Wap has entered a guilty plea on federal drug charges, which he was arrested for last year.

According to CNN, the 30-year-old rapper admitted to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.

CNN adds that there has been no sentencing date has been set at the moment. However, an attorney for the rapper requested an expedited sentencing date.

No details were known back in October about his arrest. Now though, it was revealed that Fetty had been indicted and arrested then, along with five others, on the drug trafficking conspiracy charge and was released on $500,000 bail.

That bail amount was revoked when prosecutors said he violated the terms by threatening to kill someone and holding a gun during a FaceTime call in December.

The charge Fetty pleaded guilty to carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison but has a sentencing range of between 87 and 108 months, depending on a variety of factors.

Last year, Fetty also went through a personal loss.
