Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Get a New Dog - See the Fun Name!

The couple adopted a 7-year-old beagle, who just had a litter of eight puppies, from the Beagle Freedom Project, via the Los Angeles Times.

They made an out-of-hours visit to the shelter along with two security guards according to the rep, and played with the pup, named Mamma Mia – Mia for short – in the shelter’s garden.

“The Duchess is holding Mia and was like, ‘We’re adopting her,’” the rep said, adding that they made it clear they’re not interested in a young puppy: “No, we don’t want a Christmas puppy. We want ones we can help who are older,” Meghan reportedly said.
