Shaquille O'Neal Thinks the Earth is Flat & Here's His Explanation

Shaquille O’Neal is doubling down on his theory that the Earth is flat after previously making similar comments back in 2017.

The 50-year-old former NBA player said back then, “I drive from coast to coast, and this s–t is flat to me. I’m just saying. I drive from Florida to California all the time, and it’s flat to me. I do not go up and down at a 360-degree angle, and all that stuff about gravity, have you looked outside Atlanta lately and seen all these buildings? You mean to tell me that China is under us? China is under us? It’s not. The world is flat.”

Shaq later said he was joking, but now it appears he still believes the theory.

During an interview on the Kyle & Jackie O Show this week, Shaq said, “It’s a theory. It’s just a theory, they teach us a lot of things.”

Shaq did the interview while in Australia and he claimed he “flew straight” from the United States to down under.

“I flew 20 hours today, not once did I go this way,” Shaq said while gesturing his arm diagonally. He added that he “didn’t tip over” or “go upside down” during the flight.

“It’s still a straight line, you don’t go under,” he added. “It’s just a theory. It’s a conspiracy theory.”

Shaq is also not convinced that the Earth is spinning.

“You know they say the world is spinning? I’ve been living on a house on a lake for 30 years, not once did the lake rotate to the left or right,” he said. “I like listening to theories. It’s not about figuring them out, or he’s wrong or he’s right — it’s just a theory.”

Shaq once explained why he’ll never appear on Dancing With the Stars.
