Tom Brady Explains Why He Came Back to NFL After Briefly Retiring

“Well, I just felt like I had a little left,” Tom Brady said of his decision.

“And I want to give it a shot. And I owed it to my teammates and our great coaches and our whole organization,” he continued.

“We built something pretty special here in Tampa the last few years. We were pretty close last year, at the end of last year. We lost to the Super Bowl champ. They made a few more plays than we did in that game. You know, the competitive fire still burns,” Tom admitted.

“I want to get out there and I want to have a great season for everybody, because there are a lot of people who have supported me along the way. And I’ve always felt like I play for the name on the back of my jersey and I play for the name on the front of my jersey, which is the Bucs and my family.”

Tom Brady took a leave of absence from the NFL this month and now he’s addressing why he was gone for 11 days.
