Aaron Carter's Memoir Publisher Postpones Release 'Out of Respect for the Carter Family'

The release of Aaron Carter‘s memoir has been put on hold.

It was previously announced that the memoir, titled “Aaron Carter: An Incomplete Story of an Incomplete Life,” would be released on November 15, just 10 days after Aaron‘s untimely death at the age of 34.

Aaron‘s ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff spoke out to denounce the memoir, in which the singer allegedly claimed that they lost their virginities together at the age of 13. His family also denounced the book.

On Saturday (November 12), the publisher decided to postpone the release of the memoir.

Attorney Scott Atherton, founder of Atherton Galardi Mullen & Reeder PLLC and who represents Ballast Books and author Andy Symonds, told ET that despite the late “I Want Candy” singer wanting to share his story “with all its beauty and rawness,” they have to decided hold off on releasing the book.

“Out of respect for the Carter family, my client has decided to defer the further release of the book at this time,” the statement read. “Mr. Carter was not just a celebrity but also a father, a brother, a son, and a friend to many still grieving for him.”

The attorney also said “public attention has recently focused on a small number of interactions during Mr. Carter’s early years.” He added that “the more important story is about Mr. Carter’s life and what people can learn from his professional success, personal struggles, and tragic passing.”

Aaron‘s fiancee recently shared a second statement about his death.
