Josh Groban is playing The Beast in ABC’s live-action Beauty and the Beast special and his costume needs to be seen to be believed!

The 41-year-old singer and actor is joined by a star-studded cast for the special, which will feature a blend of animated footage and live-action performances to pay tribute to the original Disney movie.

Executive producer Raj Kapoor talked to EW about Josh‘s reaction to seeing the costume for the first time.

“His mouth was open,” Raj said. “He’s like, ‘I was not expecting this. It’s so clever. I’m so in.’”

“He was like, ‘I’ll do whatever,’” Raj added. “‘Because I already see what the vision is and it’s so different.’”
