'Drag Race' Star Ra'Jah O'Hara Calls Out 'Favoritism' on 'Canada's Drag Race Vs. The World'

Ra’Jah O’Hara is getting candid about how she feels about Canada’s Drag Race Vs. The World.

The spinoff all-stars season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which is hosted in Canada, features queens from around the world vying against queens from Canada’s Drag Race for the crown.

Ahead of the finale, the 37-year-old Drag Race star spoke out during a live viewing party at Roscoe’s Tavern about the show’s production.

When asked about favoritism by co-host Naysha Lopez after fellow competitor Icesis Couture said she felt there was, Ra’Jah said: “I don’t want to say that they were playing favoritism, but there was a little bit of some favoritism.”

“One time I actually had to speak out about it…so it was kind of like, it made me feel really uncomfortable. Because you know how it is on set. I can’t get into all of the details,” she continued without elaborating further, likely due to contractual reasons.

She did clarify that the favoritism didn’t learn towards her or fellow competitor Vanity Milan, who was also in attendance at the live viewing party.

“I wouldn’t say it was favoritism towards anyone on this stage [her and Vanity],” Ra’Jah said.

Icesis said that. She said it was definitely for Canada, them trying to keep the title in Canada,” the hosts clarified.

She also clarified that judge Brooke Lynn Hytes wasn’t the one involved in favoritism: “I was really glad to see that Brooke Lynn wasn’t really playing favoritism when it came down to judging. A lot of times, our mama don’t care if she got a favorite. She gonna let you know that that’s her favorite,” she said, referring to RuPaul herself.
