Amy Grant Talks Being Honored At 45th Annual Kennedy Center Honors

Amy Grant was one of several stars honored at the 45th Annual Kennedy Center Honors ceremony earlier this month.

The event took place on December 4 in Washington, DC. However, it will air on CBS in a few days and feature performances and tributes from the likes of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Natalie Hemby and Amanda Shires (aka The Highwaywomen) and Sheryl Crow.

Amy opened up about the experience and shared what it was like to be an honoree.

“I felt simultaneously like I was in this cone of total aloneness, just of being observed, and also completely surrounded by love. It was so amazing. And I was like ‘Everybody should have this feeling. Everybody.’ It was really beautiful. Every moment was so gratifying and beautiful,” she said of the experience.

The 45th Kennedy Center Honors will air on CBS on December 28 at 8pm ET.
