Jerrod Carmichael Defends Chloe Flower; Says She Isn't Playing Off Winners, It's A Track
Chloe Flower has been getting a little hate from the winners, and even some 2023 Golden Globe Awards viewers tonight.
The musician, who is the one playing the winning music on stage, has also apparently been mistaken for the one who is playing the “wrap up” music to get the winners to hurry up their speeches.
However, host Jerrod Carmichael spoke up for the pianist, saying it’s not her playing that bit. It’s a track.

Chloe was recognized by several winners throughout the show – including Austin Butler, Colin Farrell, and the most talked about, Michelle Yeoh.
“Shut up,” Michelle had directed towards Chloe and the band on stage. “I can beat you up, okay? And that’s serious.”
However, Jerrod interjected a few winners after that, saying that while Chloe is playing the music to keep the show moving, she isn’t playing the walk off music.
Chloe also clarified her role on stage:
I would never play piano over people’s speeches!! I’m only playing when you see me on camera! #goldenglobes

I like Jerrod explaining that Chloe Flower isn’t playing people off. No hate for the piano lady! #GoldenGlobes

I do appreciate Jerrod shouting out the pianist, Chloe Flower. I know she is just trying to do her job and do what she loves so she shouldn’t be the one getting the ‘music cut off’ backlash. #GoldenGlobes
