Ashlee Simpson Reveals Mother-In-Law Diana Ross Gave Her Advice For Her Music

Ashlee Simpson is opening up about her famous mother-in-law, Diana Ross.

The 38-year-old singer made an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show which aired earlier this week, where she opened up about working on new music, and said that Diana shares advice for her on it.

“It’s nerve-wracking at first playing music for anyone when it’s new,” Ashlee shared, revealing that she’s been playing her new music for her family. “But definitely her!”

Ashlee admits that she does want Diana to like her music and playing it for her, she gets “butterflies—but she’s such a wonderful mother-in-law.”

She added that Diana also gave advice to her and Evan Ross on their 2018 EP Ashlee + Evan.

“She’s very encouraging,” Ashlee says. “She helped us on the album.”
