Is Miley Cyrus' 'Flowers' About Liam Hemsworth - Here's All The Evidence

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Lyrics like “I can love me better” might hint at tension in their marriage, which was evident during another red carpet moment

“I can love me better than you can,” Miley sings in teasers for “Flowers.” The lyrics might allude to a couple of things.

During a 2020 interview with Joe Rogan, Miley opened up about her divorce.

“What really sucked about it wasn’t the fact that me and someone that I loved realize that we don’t love each other the way that we used to anymore,” she said.

It could also be a reference to the way that Miley has accepted her own personality in a way that Liam might have struggled with. The line calls to mind another red carpet moment at the Avengers: Endgame premiere.

While posing for photos together, Miley pretended to lick Liam, who appeared to respond uncomfortably and to ask for her to “behave for once,” according to MTV. Miley appeared to be angry, and the Daily Mail noted that it was the same event where she pushed Liam away and posed for solo photos.

These are definitely all signs that she could love herself better outside of the relationship.
