Trey Songz Fights Back Against Rape Accusation in $25 Million Lawsuit

Trey Songz is clapping back at accusations that he raped a woman in 2016.

In a report via Rolling Stone, a woman, named as Jane Doe, has filed suit against him for $25 million, after first filing the rape report in February 2022.

In the suit, Jane Doe says that Trey invited her to a house party in 2016 where he took her upstairs for what she believed would be consensual sex. However, she then claims that Trey “threw her to the ground and anally raped her. She screamed in pain and tried fighting him off, but was overpowered.”

Apparently, Jane Doe was taken to the hospital by a Lyft driver where a rape exam was performed and the police were called.

“This case is much more than about one singer and one viciously abused sexual assault survivor who has the courage to take action,” the plaintiff’s attorney George Vrabeck said in a statement. “It’s also very much about the systematic sexual abuse in the music industry and the music industry’s complicity in silencing sexual abuse survivors. It’s virtually impossible to believe that those executives are not and were not aware of the institutionalized sexual abuse.”

Meanwhile, Trey has responded to the claims against him on his Instagram Story.

“Lies will never be the truth. No matter who chooses to believe such,” he wrote.
