Eminem' Daughter Hailie Jade & Fiance Evan McClintock Open Up About Their Engagement, Getting Eminem's Blessing & the Celeb with a Similar Ring

Eminem‘s daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers, is all grown up and engaged, and she and her fiance are opening up about the exciting development in their relationship.

If you missed it, the 27-year-old Just a Little Shady podcast host and daughter of the “Lose Yourself” rap god announced her engagement earlier this month.

She and fiance Evan McClintock have been together for years.

During a recent episode of the podcast, Evan revealed how he asked Eminem for his blessing and spilled extra details about shopping for a ring and so much more

Evan explained that he was able to steal a low-key moment with Eminem around the holidays while they were celebrating Hailie Jade‘s birthday.

“I saw your dad go downstairs, and I’m like, ‘I gotta do it right now, or I’m not doing it today, and I’m gonna have to schedule another time,’” he recalled, saying it happened as they were getting ready for a party. “So I just followed him downstairs, and, thankfully, he was just down there getting your cake and made it happen.”

Ring shopping began a couple weeks before the conversation, but the idea started brewing in “early summer.” Evan got some help from one of Hailie Jade‘s sisters, Alaina Marie Scott.

They found the one the day after Eminem and Evan spoke, which just so happened to be Hailie Jade‘s birthday.

Hailie Jade added that she wasn’t sure what kind of ring she wanted, but pointed out that the style Evan picked wound up being perfect and very popular. She even said it looked similar to Vanessa Hudgens‘. The High School Musical alum announced her engagement and showed off her ring earlier this year.

Speaking about the big moment, Hailie Jade said she had no idea that the proposal was coming, either!

Evan might have popped the question even earlier. He said that an early idea involved proposing at Lollapalooza.
