Hallmark Channel's Brendan Penny Dishes On Working With Erin Krakow on 'The Wedding Cottage', His Own Wedding & More In Just Jared's Exclusive Interview

ON HIS CHARACTER:

“I play Evan who is artist, who is based out of New York, but he has this wedding cottage that has been passed down through generations in his family and his grandparents. His grandmother and grandfather used to run it. Now, he is in Vermont at the wedding cottage, trying to gain some perspective and trying to kind of get out of an artistic rut that he’s in by getting away from this sort of artist that he was before, which was kind of raging against the system and doing these really cool sculptures that way.”

“Now, he’s trying to find a bit more peace and tranquility in his art and beauty that way.”

He also spoke about the type of creative outlets he does, besides acting:

“As far as art goes, I am not skilled. I play guitar. I’ve been playing guitar for a long time and I like to think that I can act (laughs), but as far any other artistic abilities – I cannot paint. I cannot draw, I cannot sculpt.”

“Now I do build furniture at home and I’ve built a lot of things that way, so I kind of am good with that, but definitely not in the sculpting or painting aspect.”
