Zooey Deschanel Reveals If She Would Do A 'New Girl' Reboot

Zooey Deschanel has fond memories of working on New Girl and talked about if there was a future for the series.

The 43-year-old actress was asked about people finding out more recently about New Girl, which aired from 2011 – 2018.

“It’s been such an incredible blessing and I think during COVID a lot of people went back and it felt I think something about it is like these friends,” Zooey said.

“We’re so lucky we had such an amazing cast and such amazing writers and just everybody working on the show was so great so we were very lucky and I think there was just something about like seeing these friends that was very comforting,” Zooey told E!

When asked if she was down for a reboot, Zooey said, “I’m down, yea.” Last year, Zooey said there was a fifty-fifty chance that the series would return.

Zooey said that although her co-star Max Greenfield wasn’t as enthusiastic about returning because he jumped into another sitcom right after New Girl ended, that he needed a little more time to come around.

“Maybe we you know, let him have a little break and then say like let’s revisit. I’m down for that,” Zooey said.

Jonathan Scott recently said that he gets asked when he and Zooey Deschanel will get engaged, almost daily.
