Princess Catherine of Wales Re-Opens London's National Portrait Gallery
Kate Middleton steps out in a lovely ensemble to re-open the National Portrait Gallery in London, England on Tuesday afternoon (June 20).
The Princess of Wales marked the venue’s re-opening with a special event, which included inviting distinguished guests like Sir Paul McCartney and his wife, Nancy Shevell.
The National Portrait Gallery had been closed for the past three years as they refurbished the venue and national landmark. During the gallery’s closure, it also expanded to include 20% more space for the collection.
Some of the portraits inside the gallery depict Winston Churchill, William Shakespeare and even Kate. Her portrait, which is by artist Paul Emsley, is also displayed there.
Kate has been the National Portrait Gallery’s royal patron since 2012.
FYI: Kate wore a Self Portrait dress, a Chanel bag and Aquazzura heels.
