'Magnum PI' Ending With Season 5 on NBC

It’s over for Magnum, P.I., again.

NBC has decided not to renew the rescued television action series for a sixth season, according to Deadline, and will instead end with the second part of season 5, which is coming in 2024.

Deadline added that NBC has decided not to move forward with additional episodes, beyond the 20 slated for season 5, at this time, thus ending the series.

The outlet added that the options for the cast are coming up on June 30 “which forced the issue” of to renew or not to renew the series.

Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang and Amy Hill star in the show which was first rebooted on CBS, before it’s network move to NBC last year.

At the moment, Magnum P.I.‘s season 5 is available on Peacock, and previous seasons are available to stream on Paramount+.
