James Charles Talks Grooming Allegations, His Relationship With Morphe & Moving On From Controversy in 'Cosmopolitan'

James Charles is opening up in Cosmopolitan about the other side of controversies that almost derailed his career.

The 24-year-old beauty guru and YouTube star was involved in petty drama at certain points in his career.

However, allegations of having inappropriate conversations with minors in 2021 cost him a major brand deal with Morphe (a beauty brand where he was one of the biggest celebrity collaborators), followers and so much more.

After a break on social media, he returned to YouTube in 2021 and has been working and appearing on red carpets since.

Now, he’s preparing to launch his own self-funded makeup line called Painted.

In the leadup to the line’s debut, James sat down for a conversation with Cosmopolitan where he addressed the allegations, opened up about what happened with Morphe, teased Painted and more.
