SAG-AFTRA Grants 39 Projects Waivers To Keep Filming Amid Strike

39 projects have been granted a waiver to keep on filming from SAG-AFTRA.

The news comes just days after the union started their strike alongside the WGA.

Deadline reports that the 39 projects were given the waiver as they are truly independent productions, free of ties from the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

In addition to biblical drama television show, The Chosen, a couple of A24 productions are also on the official list.

A source told the outlet that the A24 productions, which are Death of a Unicorn and Mother Mary, are not likely to just pick up filming, as the first is still in development.

Mother Mary, which will star Anne Hathaway, could start shooting shortly.

Aguadilla, Anniversary, Armadilla, Beneath the Grass, Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, Beyond The Walls, Bob Trevino Likes It, Bride Hard, The Cafone, A Desert, Dream Devil, Dust Bunny, Exhibiting Forgiveness, F-PLUS, Flight Risk, Ganymede, The Greatest Ever, Ick, Just Breathe, King Ivory, Mourning Rock, Osiris, Paradise And Lunch, Queen Of The Ring, The Ritual, Rivals of Amziah King, Sell Out, The Short Game, Sod And Stubble, The Sound, The Killer’s Game, The Tower, Transamazonia, Week End Escape Project, Weekend Escape, and The Yellow Tie complete the list of movies that were approved.
