Sydney Sweeney Addresses Glen Powell Romance Rumors After All Those Steamy Set Photos

Sydney Sweeney is addressing all the rumors that ensued earlier this year while she was filming Anyone But You alongside Glen Powell.

The 25-year-old actress and Glen, 34, filmed the movie in Australia earlier this year and were seen looking their absolute best while filming a beach scene in their swimwear and sharing a passionate kiss for another scene.

In the weeks that followed, there were lots of rumors swirling around social media that Sydney and Glen were a new item after they looked flirty in during filming. However, it was discovered that those were simply rumors: Sydney is still engaged, though Glen and his girlfriend did reportedly split up.

First, director Will Gluck spoke about the rumors, telling Variety, “Sydney is brilliant at a lot of things, including how to deal with social media; she didn’t emotionally internalize it. It was crazy, but after a while it became normal.”

About all the rumors and speculation, Sydney shared, “It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker. We’re excited for the press tour, and I literally just left ADR [automated dialogue replacement, which helps the sound quality of an actor's dialogue in film ] with him. We talk all the time like, ‘That’s really funny.’”

“They want it,” Sydney added. “It’s fun to give it to ’em.”
