Olivia Wilde & Jason Sudeikis Get Legal Battle with Former Nanny Moved Out of Court, Nanny's Lawyer Reacts to News

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis have scored a win in their ongoing legal battle against their former nanny, who filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against them earlier this year.

The former couple was able to get the lawsuit moved out of court and it will now be resolved in arbitration.

In a statement from Jason and Olivia‘s reps to Just Jared, they shared that “the lawsuit has been fully dismissed.”

“Both Olivia and Jason are hopeful they can finally close this chapter after what has not only been a selfish grab for financial gain, but a shameless exploitation of their trust played out in the media,” they told us.

Ericka Genaro, the couple’s former nanny, filed the lawsuit and claimed that she was fired after asking to take a three-day break to deal with stress she says she incurred while dealing with the couple’s breakup.

In total, Genaro wants “loss of earnings, deferred compensation, and other employment benefits” from the lawsuit. She added that she believes she was fired was “because of her disability of anxiety/depression, and for seeking the reasonable accommodation of a three day leave of absence for same.”

Ericka‘s attorney Ron Zambrano at West Coast Employment Lawyers said in a statement, “We don’t agree with the decision, but it is what it is and now we’ll litigate it in arbitration and the case goes on. This does not terminate the lawsuit. It merely changes the venue. As to the underlying facts, we’ve got text messages and testimony that she was driven to quit, then was summarily fired anyway. We feel extremely confident in the case so instead of taking this to trial, we’ll handle it in arbitration and we’re ready to move forward.”

If you missed it, a bombshell exposé was released in October of 2022 from this same nanny, who revealed a ton of information and alleged Olivia cheated on Jason with Harry Styles, among many other sordid headlines. Olivia and Jason denied the nanny’s account of what happened (which included Jason apparently laying underneath Olivia‘s car to prevent her from leaving and bringing Harry her special, sentimental salad dressing.)
