Britney Spears is keeping busy amid news of her split from husband Sam Asghari.

News broke that the 41-year-old “Make Me” pop star and her 29-year-old husband had called it off after just over a year of marriage and several years of dating on Wednesday (August 16).

Sam filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending their marriage.

As the news continues to evolve, a source revealed how Britney is doing and teased some projects that she has in the works.

A source told People that Britney is “in great spirits despite everything going on.”

“Obviously it’s never an easy thing to go through, but she’s remaining positive and focusing on the future,” they continued.

It sounds like there is quite a bit for her to do, including preparing for the release of her memoir The Woman In Me. But she’s also got ideas for new music and allegedly “has an upcoming writers’ camp.”

They said that the hitmaker “is getting songs from some big artists.”

What are the plans for the new music? “Ideally she would love to do a new record soon,” they claimed. In fact, she is reportedly even considering “a powerful song for the book’s release.”

Britney linked up with Will.i.am to release her new single “Mind Your Business” in late July. He touched on creating more music together in an interview after the song dropped and teased a song idea that Britney had.

While Britney has not directly referenced the split news, she has taken to social media. She also received support from a fellow pop star.
