'RuPaul's Drag Race' Star Shea Coulee Apologizes to Meghan Trainor Over Made-Up Story

Shea Coulee is coming clean to Meghan Trainor.

While they both attended the 2023 Streamy Awards on Sunday (August 27), the 34-year-old RuPaul’s Drag Race winner apologized for a rumor she made up about the 29-year-old “Made You Look” singer years ago.

For a little context, Shea first competed on season nine of Drag Race back in 2017, during which Meghan appeared as a guest judge.

Following her appearance on the show, there was a rumor that Meghan stole a sandwich from Shea backstage.

Meghan has denied the rumor and during the Streamy Awards, Shea finally admitted that she made the whole thing up and apologized to Meghan.

“I don’t know if you’ve encountered this rumor that, when you were on Drag Race as a guest judge, you ate a drag queen’s sandwich? I made that rumor up,” Shea said to Meghan, who scream-laughed from her seat, “I didn’t eat the sandwich!”

“I’m so sorry. It was me. I just feel so bad, and I just wanted to let you know I said it as a joke once on the mic,” Shea continued. “And now, I’m very serious, they have no idea, I shouldn’t even be telling you this, but I am not only a gorgeous drag queen, but I am a compulsive liar. I’m so sorry. She didn’t eat my sandwich, y’all.”

Meghan didn’t appear bothered by the rumor, and was seen laughing as Shea spoke.

After her apology, the audience applauded for Shea and she and Meghan posed together for a photo, with both of them smiling and holding hands.

During a recent interview, Meghan explained why she first thought husband Daryl Sabara was a “serial killer.”
