Billy Ray Cyrus & Fiancée Firerose Share Rare Insight Into 'Beautiful Whirlwind' Romance

Billy Ray Cyrus and fiancée Firerose are opening up about their relationship.

If you didn’t know, the 62-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” singer and Firerose first met on set of Hannah Montana over 12 years ago and just started dating within the past few years.

In August 2022, the couple got engaged, but they didn’t publicly announce it until months later in November.

While appearing on Good Morning America on Thursday (August 31), Billy Ray and Firerose shared some rare insight into their romantic and musical relationship.

“It has been a beautiful whirlwind,” Firerose shared. “I’m just so grateful that I get to live my dreams every day with the love of my life.”

Billy Ray and Firerose‘s musical relationship first began in July 2021 when they released a song together. Just recently, they teamed up again for the new song “Plans.”

“We’re kind of like peanut butter and jelly,” Billy Ray shared. “I’m a left-handed, singer-songwriter from Flatwoods, Kentucky, and she’s a trained orchestral musician.”

Billy Ray and Firerose got engaged in August 2022, four months after his ex-wife Tish Cyrus filed for divorce in April 2022, though the two had not been living together since 2020. In August 2023, Tish, 56, married Prison Break star Dominic Purcell.

While Miley Cyrus attended her mom’s wedding, several of Tish‘s kids were not there.
