Joe Jonas Files for Divorce From Sophie Turner, Court Documents Reveal Reason for Split & Custody Plan

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are officially splitting.

Reports started circulating about the 34-year-old Jonas Brothers musician and 27-year-old Game of Thrones actress over the weekend. Joe seemingly responded to the whispers by sharing a photo of himself wearing his wedding ring.

However, it appears that the reports were true.

According to Today, Joe filed for divorce on Tuesday (September 5) in Miami Dade County, Florida. Court documents revealed the reason for the couple’s split and how they will handle custody of their two children.

In his filing, Joe stated that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” The couple will be splitting custody of their two children, a daughter named Willa, who was born in 2020, and another child born in 2022.

The documents noted that Joe has been primarily caring for the children at the moment. However, they decided that “it is in the best interests of the minor children that the parties have shared parental responsibility.”

Shortly before the news broke, details about Joe and Sophie‘s prenuptial agreement were made public.

Joe and Sophie were first linked in 2016 and got married in Las Vegas in 2019.
