Amy Schumer Memes Herself in Response to Actors Promoting Work at Venice Film Festival Amid Strike

Amy Schumer turned a recent photo of herself into a meme to express how she feels about actors attending film festivals amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

It’s important to point out that actors such as Jessica Chastain, Jacob Elordi, Adam Driver and Patrick Dempsey who have been promoting their work at the 2023 Venice Film Festival have been granted permission by the union.

Jessica even expressed nerves about attending the annual festival and went out of her way to support her fellow actors while on the red carpet.

However, Amy hopped on social media to reveal how she felt about the premieres. She did so using a photo of herself that was taken while attending the 2023 US Open with husband Chris Fischer.

In the photo, which she shared on Instagram, Amy‘s mouth is open and there is a shocked look on her face.

“Me watching @sagaftra actors do press at Venice,” she simply captioned the post.

Despite having permission to prmote their work, stars such as Amanda Seyfried have opted out of attending premieres in a show of solidarity. Anna Kendrick even skipped the premiere of her new movie Woman of the Hour, which is her directorial debut.
