Alex Trebek's LA Home Being Demolished; Fans Heartbroken

Alex Trebek fans are not okay after seeing that his Los Angeles home was being demolished.

The late Jeopardy! host’s family sold the mansion in 2022, shortly after he passed away from stage 4 pancreatic cancer in 2020.

Fans on Reddit are opening up about and sharing their sad thoughts about what the new owner is doing to the home, pointing out that Alex had put in a lot of his own work into the home.

“That’s really sad, he was an avid amateur carpenter and built a lot of that home himself,” one fan wrote on the forum, with another adding that Alex had been “doing work on that house even after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I believe the one bathroom had just been redone in 2019.”

Alex had stated in several interviews that he was an amateur handyman and had put a lot of his own touches into the home.

The Studio City home sold for $7 million, featuring a theater room, a pool, and much more, and the new owner seems to be tearing it all down.
