Orange Is The New Black's Dascha Polanco To Become a Grandma at 40

Dascha Polanco is going to be a grandma very soon!

The 40-year-old Orange Is the New Black actress just announced that her daughter Dasany Gonzalez is expecting her first child and they celebrated at her baby shower earlier this month.

“I just got a promotion 🩵.🚫🧢,” Dascha captioned a photo that featured her holding Dasany‘s baby bump at the shower.

Dascha welcomed Dasany into the world when she was just 17. Her mom helped her raise her child, but she passed away while Dascha was in college.

“One day I finally opened up to one of my psychology professors,” she told Parents Latina. “I told her I hated being a mother, and ever since my mom passed, I didn’t celebrate anything. She told me the reason I got angry was that I had a subconscious jealousy of my daughter, because she had her mother and I didn’t have mine.”

Dascha gave birth to her second child, her son Aryam, at the age of 25.

After the baby shower, Dasany took to her Instagram account and shared photos of all the gifts she received. She wrote, “His closet is going to be better then mine 🥳🩵.. Im so grateful and blessed for all the support I have got, during this journey. Thank you all for the amazing gifts! NOW TIME TO BE THE HOTTEST MOM EVER 😍!”
