Christina Aguilera Reportedly Involved in 'Burlesque' Broadway Musical

Christina Aguilera is gearing up to take fans back to the world of Burlesque and to educate a new generation of music lovers about air rights, according to a new report.

If you forgot, the 42-year-old “Dirrty” diva shared the screen with the likes of Cher in the 2010 movie, which has developed a cult following over the years.

According to a new report, she’s working with several others involved in the original movie to create a Broadway musical inspired by the project!

According to ET, Christina signed on to the project as an executive producer. She is said to be working with the movie’s director Steven Antin, who confirmed that the musical was in the works.

“Yes the stage musical adaptation is happening,” he told the outlet, adding that it was “Very exciting.”

The musical is expected to premiere in the United Kingdom. It will include music from the original film. Todrick Hall and Jess Foley are also said to be working on some musical additions to the story.
