Bradley always had Carey Mulligan in mind for Maestro

Bradley says he only had one actress in mind to play the role of his wife in Maestro.

“Every time I saw a picture of Felicia [Bernstein] I just kept thinking Carey Mulligan,” he said, adding that he saw her perform in a one-woman play and knew she was right for the job.

“It was a moment of divine intervention,” he said. “I was just lucky I was open enough to listen to what this project was telling me to do, which happened a lot on this movie.”
