Emily Osment – Reprising Role as Mandy

Variety reports that the new series will focus on Montana Jordan and Emily Osment‘s characters Georgie and Mandy.

The characters met in season five when Georgie was just 17 and Mandy was 29. They lie about their ages, but Mandy got pregnant and welcomed their child in season six and they got engaged at the end of the season.

Jerry O’Connell played the adult version of Georgie on The Big Bang Theory and in the present day he has two ex-wives, so we know that his relationship with Mandy won’t last in the end.

Montana and Emily are both in talks to reprise their roles in the spinoff series, which will be created by Young Sheldon executive producers Steve Holland, Steven Molaro and Chuck Lorre. CBS is nearing a direct-to-series order for the spinoff, according to Variety.
