Fashion lovers will likely recognize Prince Egon von Furstenberg as the husband of iconic designer Diane von Furstenberg. As his title suggests, he was a member of a German royal family.

While alive, Prince Egon was married to two women and welcomed two children with Diane, his first wife. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 57. While he does not appear to have used the term himself, the Prince appears to have been bisexual and was open about discussing his sexual encounters.

In an archived story from People, accessible via Wayback Machine, he discussed being intimate with a man. The story was initially published in 1981.

“I get bored sexually,” he said, adding that he was “very pleased” and had “no regrets.”
