Original 'Heartstopper' Star Exits Show Ahead of Third Season, Jokes About a Spinoff Series

Olivia Colman is out as Sarah Nelson

Speaking to Forbes, Olivia Colman revealed that she had been unable to reprise the role of Sarah Nelson in the series.

“I couldn’t do number three. I couldn’t fit it in. I feel awful about that,” she told the outlet, adding, “I feel like I was part of one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever been part of.”

When the interviewer recommended that she get a spinoff series or return for the show’s fourth season, she replied affirmatively. “Okay! I’ll have a word,” she said. “As long as it’s booked in advance, maybe I’ll be able to do it, yeah!”
