Tom Hanks' Son Chet Goes Viral After Golden Globes 2020 for Video Using Fake Accent

Tom Hanks‘ son Chet Hanks went viral during and after the 2020 Golden Globes after he posted a video of himself showing off his patois. He does not normally have an accent.

The 29-year-old aspiring rapper-turned-actor uploaded the video to Instagram and it quickly got the attention of many.

“why is Tom Hanks’ son Chet Hanks speaking patois?,” one Twitter user wrote. Another Twitter user blamed Drake, saying, “Idk why but Drake was the first thing/reason/person I thought of. Help us lord.”

Chet responded to the interest in his video by posting a photo of CNN’s article about it, writing:

“Average citizens: damn this is scary I can’t believe we’re on the verge of WW3 let me check the news smh.
@CNN: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣”

Tom Hanks won the Cecil B. deMille Award at the show last night.
