Timbaland Reveals How He Lost 130 Pounds

Timbaland is putting his new buff physique on display for a spread in Men’s Health!

The 47-year-old music producer, whose real name is Tim Mosley, opened up to the magazine about how he dropped 130 pounds.

“I had a dream that death was near. I saw myself with a white face,” Timbaland told the mag. He admitted that he gained weight from eating unhealthily and he also talked about becoming addicted to prescription pills.

“[The pills] put me in a great feeling of not caring, of just being free. I’m like traveling, doing shows, poppin’ ’em, having fun, just being ignorant,” he said. On quitting his addiction he said, “One of the toughest things I’ve been through. The only things that got me through it were my kids, my girl, the help of God keeping my mind still.”

Timbaland decided to focus on his health after settling his divorce and his debt with the government. He started training with the support of his girlfriend, Punch Elite Fitness gym founder Michelle Dennis, and lost 50 pounds in the first year. He then started workout with with trainer David Alexander at DBC Fitness and had a custom diet plan created for him.

“He has a no-quit mentality,” Alexander said. “He understands that this is his new life. It’s not something that’s going to go away in three months. And he’s committed. Tim is one of the most mentally strong guys out there.”

Timbaland says, “God has me under construction, which I’m still under. I don’t feel like I’m complete. I don’t want to ever feel like I’m complete, ’cause my mind would probably get idle. God needed me to be clear so I could see what is needed, not what I want.”
