Naya Rivera Search Will Continue 'At Least Through Tuesday'

Investigators will continue searching for Naya Rivera at Lake Piru in California “at least through Tuesday.”

If you don’t know, the 33-year-old Glee star went missing on Wednesday (July 8) at the lake while boating with her son Josey, 4. When Josey was found alone on the boat, he told investigators that his mom never came back after swimming. Naya has tragically been presumed dead at this time.

“There’s no talk of either one way or the other after Tuesday,” Sgt. Shannon King told People when asked when the search would continue until. “Tuesday’s sort of the projected date that we’re discussing, and we’re going to continue doing what we have been doing.”

The water at Lake Piru is apparently not easy to search through, and King said, “it’s not like typical waters, which are crystal clear, this is murky, cold lake water.”

“The ground is covered in trees and shrubs, so it’s hampering our efforts for sure. So they have to go very slowly, so when they see the sonar vision coming back on their screen, the slower they go, the clearer it is,” King added. “The faster they go, the more elongated it becomes and harder to tell.”

If you don’t know, cabins surrounding Lake Piru were searched over the weekend to find Naya Rivera and here’s what came of that search.
