Oliver Hudson Looks Back at Being Arrested at 16, Says Kurt Russell 'Was Not a Happy Dad'

Oliver Hudson is taking a trip down memory lane.

On Wednesday (January 5), the 45-year-old The Cleaning Lady actor made an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan where he recalled getting arrested as a teenager and revealed how Kurt Russell reacted when the police called him.

If you don’t know, Kurt, 70, has been in a relationship with Oliver‘s mom Goldie Hawn since 1983. Oliver was seven-years-old when they started dating.

“I did get arrested when I was 16 years old. It was a crazy story ’cause they had to call the parents, and they said, ‘What’s your dad’s name?’ and I said, ‘Oh my God. Kurt Russell,’” Oliver recalled. “They’re like, ‘No, kid, what’s your dad’s name?’ And I said, ‘It’s Kurt Russell.’”

“They started fighting over who was gonna make the phone call. It was crazy,” Oliver joked.

Kelly Ripa then asked, “When Kurt gets that phone call, is he upset or is he understanding? Is he the Kurt I fantasize that he is?”

“Yes, he is. He is,” Oliver said. “Look, we were stupid. We had paintball guns. We were doing dumb things, as kids do. He understood what it was like for him when he was the age; he did stupid stuff as well. But he was not a happy dad, let’s just say that.”
