Kourtney Kardashian Opens Up About Why She Wore a Short Wedding Dress For Marriage To Travis Barker

Kourtney Kardashian went against the grain and chose to wear a short wedding dress on her special day to wed Travis Barker.

The iconic couple tied the knot in May 2022 in Italy, and both the bride and groom wore Dolce & Gabbana for their nuptials.

In a recent Instagram post, Kourtney opened up about why she was inspired to wear a short dress versus a normal, long version.

Looking back on her wedding planning, Kourtney shared that during her meetings with Dolce & Gabbana, a short dress was on the list.

“The first inspiration for my dress was when Travis and I were watching Guns N’ Roses’ ‘November Rain’ video one night before we were even engaged,” she explained.

Kourtney added, “We said to each other, ‘This has to be our wedding.’ She was wearing a short dress, and I thought to myself, ‘I need a short dress!’”

She went on, sharing even more inspiration for her wedding day came from wanting it “to feel like we ran off to Italy and got married and wanted the dress and wedding to feel that way! When @DolceGabbana suggested putting Travis’ head tattoo of the Virgin Mary on the handmade lace veil with the worlds from his tattoo: family, loyalty, respect underneath, I got chills and knew how special that felt.”

“This was all planned and made into my dream come true all so so quickly, and I’m so grateful to everyone who put their all into making it all happen!” Kourtney concluded.
