Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend Paulina Slagter keep close as they hit the red carpet at the 2014 People Magazine Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday evening (December 18) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 40-year-old actor took the stage to present Mindy Kaling and her The Mindy Project co-star Chris Messina with the award for TV Couple of the Year.

The 35-year-old singer was joined by his Maroon 5 band mates before hitting the stage for a performance.

The 36-year-old comedian and actor was presented with the Breakout Star of the Year award by musician Josh Groban.

“Let’s just all take a moment to acknowledge that a clip of ELENA was on NBC tonight. I’ve never been more proud. #PEOPLEMagazineAwards,” Billy later tweeted.

Josh tweeted, “It was an honor to give people magazines inaugural “metal tube” to @billyeichner. Odd combo you say? Our voices make people cry.”
