Amandla Stenberg is opening up about being part of the Star Wars universe!

The 23-year-old actress talked about her new gig during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday (August 11) in Hollywood.

For those who don’t know, Amandla has landed a role in the upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte.

The Acolyte is set a century before the events of Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace, and promises to “depict the galaxy at the peak of the era of the High Republic, when the Jedi were at their strongest and the Sith were believed to have been eradicated from the galaxy,” according to Variety.

After her role was announced at Comic-Con, Amandla put up a post on Instagram that she says contained a mistake that Lucasfilm wanted fixed.

Lee Pace is stepping out for the premiere of his new movie!

The 43-year-old actor showed off some skin in a cartoon leopard-print shirt at the premiere of Bodies Bodies Bodies on Tuesday evening (August 2) in New York City.

Lee‘s fellow co-stars in attendance included Rachel Sennott, Maria Bakalova, Amandla Stenberg, Chase Sui Wonders, and Myha’la Herrold along with director Halina Reijn.

The Acolyte is coming!

The highly anticipated Star Wars series has found its lead, and made the big announcement on Friday (July 22).

So many celebrities were in attendance at the Chanel’s Artists Dinner held during the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival!

Penelope Cruz, Andrew Garfield, and more stars stepped out for the dinner party on Monday night (June 13) at Balthazar restaurant in New York City.

The evening honored the artists who have contributed original artwork to the festival’s award-winning filmmakers. This year’s contributing artists included: Garry Simmons, Deborah Roberts, Nicoletta Darita de la Brown, February James, Ming Smith, Leilah Babirye, Ouattara Watts, Hank Willis Thomas, Nina Chanel Abney and Wardell Milan. This year’s program was curated by Racquel Chevremont.

Among the stars in attendance were Tribeca co-founder Robert De Niro, as well as Lucy Boynton, Dianna Agron, Sadie Sink, Lily Allen, Whitney Peak, Amandla Stenberg, and B.J. Novak.

David Harbour holds on tight to a suited up teddy bear while arriving at the Thom Browne Fall 2022 Fashion Show on Friday (April 29) in New York City.

The Stranger Things actor, who was joined by stars like Maisie Williams and Danai Gurira, passed off the bear to Licorice Pizza‘s Cooper Hoffman for another photo opp.

Other celebrities at the event included Leslie Odom Jr, Jon Batiste, Charles Melton and his new girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, Amandla Stenberg, Imogen Poots, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 star Will Poulter.

Ella Emhoff, King Princess, Gossip Girl‘s Evan Mock, Antoni Porowski, couple Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor, Simon Rex, Tommy Dorfman, and Tom Sturridge were also seen sitting front row for the presentation.

The new collection is inspired by the Island of Misfit Toys from the classic animated film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

“In a way, I always feel New York is an island of misfit toys,” designer Thom Browne shared with WWD. “It’s a place where you can really be true to yourself and be comfortable. People are so much more accepting and it’s such an inspiring time.”

For the latest episode of her daytime talk show, Drew Barrymore got in costume as her Never Been Kissed character Josie Geller to interview the cast of the new movie Dear Evan Hansen.

If you didn’t know, Josie Geller has made some appearances on the talk show in the past as well.

Ben Platt, Julianne Moore, and Amandla Stenberg were all present for the interview while Amy Adams and Danny Pino appeared via satellite. Josie asked them all about their prom experiences and what they wanted to be when they were in high school.

Amy Adams and Julianne Moore hit the blue carpet for the premiere of their new film, Dear Evan Hansen, held at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Wednesday night (September 22) in Los Angeles.

The two actresses were joined by their co-stars including Amandla Stenberg, Colton Ryan, Isaac Powell, Nik Dodani, Swift Rice, Liz Kate, Danny Pino, and DeMarius Copes.

Dear Evan Hansen centers on the title character who embarks on a journey of self-discovery when a letter he wrote for a writing exercise falls into the hands of a grieving couple whose son took his own life.

The movie will be out in theaters on Friday, September 24.

FYI: Amandla wore a stunning Gucci look for the event. Amy wore a Thom Browne navy dress and accessorized with Rahaminov jewelry.
