Kim Kardashian Organized a Zoom Call with Dr. Fauci & Lots of A-List Stars Back in April

Dr. Anthony Fauci participated in a Zoom call with dozens of A-List celebrities at the beginning of the pandemic and it was just revealed that Kim Kardashian organized the call.

Fauci told CNN that the stars “wanted to know about masks and social distancing and whether it was safe to eat take-out food.”

Among the stars on the call were Kim, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk, 2 Chainz, and more.

“It was a whole bunch of movie stars and some sports figures and they wanted to know about what they could do to stay safe, about wearing masks and avoiding crowds,” Fauci said. “I was impressed by the questions they asked, by their level of sophistication.”

The call happened at the end of April and Fauci says he agreed to participate because these people all have large platforms that they can use to spread information to fans.

“Each of them has enormous numbers of followers on their social media accounts. I could say to them, for example, it’s important to wear a mask, and they get on their accounts and say ‘wear a mask’ and it goes out to an additional couple of million people,” he said.

CNN sources says that Kim reached out to organize the call when Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams said that he wanted Kylie Jenner to help people understand that the virus is serious.

Dr. Anthony Fauci Refutes Trump's Claims About Coronavirus: 'It's Not a Good Situation'

Dr. Anthony Fauci is speaking out against President Donald Trump‘s claims.

The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and member of the White House coronavirus task force warned that the United States is “in for a whole lot of hurt” amid spiking coronavirus cases, despite Trump‘s claims that the country is “rounding the turn” on the pandemic.

“We’re in for a whole lot of hurt. It’s not a good situation. All the stars are aligned in the wrong place as you go into the fall and winter season, with people congregating at home indoors. You could not possibly be positioned more poorly,” he told the Washington Post, as the country reached a record-breaking 99,784 new infections as of the past weekend.

While he said hospitals are “much better prepared,” “it’s much more about some of the states like Utah, Nevada, South Dakota, North Dakota, where … they never had a pretty good reserve of intensive care beds and things like that. I hope they’ll be okay, but it’s still a risk that, as you get more surging, they’re going to run out of capacity.”

“The idea of this false narrative that if you don’t die, everything is hunky dory is just not the case. But to say, ‘Let people get infected, it doesn’t matter, just make sure people don’t die’ — to me as a person who’s been practicing medicine for 50 years, it doesn’t make any sense at all,” he continued.

He went on to criticize the President’s strategizing and priority of “the economy and reopening the country” and revealed they no longer speak daily.

“Right now, the public health aspect of the task force has diminished greatly,” he said.

White House spokesman Judd Deere issued a statement to People in response: “It’s unacceptable and breaking with all norms for Dr. Fauci, a senior member of the President’s Coronavirus Taskforce and someone who has praised President Trump’s actions throughout this pandemic, to choose three days before an election to play politics.”

Trump also suggested Dr. Fauci‘s role might be coming to an end at a recent rally.

Dr. Anthony Fauci Reveals When Life Might Go Back to Normal After Coronavirus Vaccine

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the 79-year-old director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, is revealing when there may be a sense of normalcy again after a Coronavirus vaccine is administered to the general public.

He’s projecting perhaps the end of 2021 or even into 2022 that life may resume as normal.

“If we get a vaccination campaign, and by the second or third quarter of 2021 we have vaccinated a substantial proportion of the people, I think it will be easily by the end of 2021, and perhaps even into the next year [2022], before we start having some semblances of normality,” Dr. Fauci said during a University of Melbourne panel (via CNN).

“When we were trying to open up the economy again, or open up the country … and I was very much involved with Dr. Deborah Birx and putting together these guidelines, which were a gateway of Phase 1, Phase 2 – to tell you how you can gradually safely and prudently open up the country.” he said. “If everybody had done that uniformly, I don’t think we would be in the position we’re in right now.”

Dr. Fauci added, “Masks in the United States have almost become a political statement, and I know that was carried in the news globally, it was really … very, very difficult. In fact, people were ridiculed for their mask, depending upon which side of a particular political spectrum you were at.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci Reveals When a Coronavirus Vaccine Could Actually Become Available

We’re getting a clearer picture of when a Coronavirus vaccine may become successfully available.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the 79-year-old director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that we will know by November or December if there might be a “safe and effective candidate.” Then, a vaccine might become available by April 2021.

“[A vaccine] will likely be [available] within the first quarter of 2021, by let’s say April of 2021,” he told CBS. “But that would be predicated on the fact that all of the vaccines that are in clinical trials have proven to be safe and effective.”

“We’ve made an estimate to have about seven hundred million doses by the end of April,” he added. “But that means from all six companies that we’re making investments in. That means that all six of those candidates have to have a vaccine that is proven to be safe and effective.”

All six vaccine trials have not been without issue. Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine trial was just paused this week after a participant fell ill unexpectedly.

Dr. Anthony Fauci Says Trump Campaign Used His Comments About COVID-19 'Out of Context' in New Ad

Dr. Anthony Fauci is firing back at the Trump Administration after the premiere of their brand new campaign ad, which used his comments about the United States’ COVID-19 response “out of context”.

The was released just shortly after the President was released from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center following his treatment for COVID-19 last week.

“President Trump is recovering from the coronavirus, and so is America,” the narrator says in the clip. “Together we rose to meet the challenge, protecting our seniors, getting them life-saving drugs in record time, sparing no expense.”

“I can’t imagine that anybody could be doing more,” Dr. Fauci is overheard saying.

The comments came from his interview he did back in March for Fox News, and the comments were directed at the coronavirus response rather than offering praise for Trump on any level.

In a statement to CNN, Dr. Fauci, who is the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, slammed the ad for using his words without his permission.

Dr. Fauci also clarified that he is not endorsing Trump in the upcoming election.

“In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed any political candidate,” his statement says. “The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials.”

Tim Murtaugh, a Trump campaign spokesman, says that they will continue to air the ad, despite the doctor’s objections.

“These are Dr. Fauci’s own words,” he said. “The video is from a nationally broadcast television interview in which Dr. Fauci was praising the work of the Trump Administration. The words spoken are accurate, and directly from Dr. Fauci’s mouth.”
