The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to achieve the highest grossing opening weekend of all time, so let’s talk about the shocking moment at the end of the film.

Where Was Loki?! 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Does Not Feature Tom Hiddleston's Villain!

If you’re going to see The Avengers: Age of Ultron this weekend, don’t get your hopes up about seeing an appearance from Tom Hiddleston‘s character Loki!

The film’s director Joss Whedon is explaining why Loki has been cut from the film, even though Tom did film a scene for it.

“We did shoot something, but it didn’t play,” he told MTV News. “The movie has so much. It’s so filled. We didn’t want it to feel overstuffed. I really wanted to have Loki in it, but I understood the decision that there were now too many voices in the chorus.”

“At some point the embarrassment of riches is actually embarrassing,” Joss laughingly added.

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Post-Credits Scene - All the Details!

Remember how Joss Whedon said there would be no post-credits scene for Avengers: Age of Ultron? Well that is sort of a lie.

While there wasn’t a scene at the very end of the credits, there was one in the middle of the credits — so make sure you stay to catch it.

In the scene, Thanos — a Mad Titan that originated in the comic books — put on his Infinity Gauntlet and said “Fine, I’ll do it myself,” before the screen cut to black.

With two Infinity War movies coming up, it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of Thanos in the upcoming years.

In case you don’t remember, this isn’t the first time Thanos was featured in a post-credits scene, he was also in a scene at the end of the first Avengers movie.
