The 35-year-old Star Trek Beyond actor is set to star in the upcoming crime drama Hell or High Water (see exclusive photos from the film here)!

Chris and his co-star Ben Foster have been busy promoting the film this past week.

The two sat down in a recent interview with Collider to talk about the politics of the movie as well as perfecting their Texas accents – see what they had to say below!

Chris Pine‘s new western thriller Hell or High Water is set to open this week and we have exclusive photos from the film!

The movie is about two brothers, Toby (Pine) and Tanner (Ben Foster), who go on a calculated bank robbery spree that puts them on a collision course with a West Texas Ranger (Jeff Bridges) determined to take them down.

Chris recently chatted with Entertainment Weekly and said that he hopes the movie finds it’s market at the summer box office.

“I hope people see it,” Chris said. “It’s a good thriller. It’s a good bank heist movie. It’s very simple. It is driven solely by the merits of this narrative structure, and by these relationships that are very human.”

Chris Pine keeps it cool and sophisticated while hitting the red carpet at the premiere of his latest film Hell or High Water on Monday (July 25) in Austin, Texas.

The 35-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Ben Foster, Jeff Bridges, Margaret Bowman and Gil Birmingham, as well as writer Taylor Sheridan and director David Mackenzie, as they all also sat down for a special Q&A following the screening.

Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and Jeff Bridges star in the new trailer for Hell or High Water.

Here’s a synopsis for the movie: A story about the collision of the Old and New West, two brothers — Toby (Pine), a straight-living, divorced father trying to make a better life for his son; and Tanner (Foster), a short-tempered ex-con with a loose trigger finger — come together to rob branch after branch of the bank that is foreclosing on their family land. The hold-ups are part of a last-ditch scheme to take back a future that powerful forces beyond their control have stolen from under their feet. Vengeance seems to be theirs until they find themselves in the crosshairs of a relentless, foul-mouthed Texas Ranger (Bridges) looking for one last triumph on the eve of his retirement. As the brothers plot a final bank heist to complete their plan, a showdown looms at the crossroads where the last honest law man and a pair of brothers with nothing to live for except family collide.

The film will hit theaters on August 19 and currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes!

Paula Patton is a bombshell in red while attending an AOL Build Series event on Wednesday (June 8) in New York City.

The 40-year-old actress was joined by her Warcraft co-stars Travis Fimmel, Ben Foster, and Robert Kazinsky.

Paula recently opened up about how public her divorce was from Robin Thicke.

“I don’t think you can control that,” Paula told People. “You just keep living your life and have faith that everything sorts itself out. Be patient, I’m learning that later in life it’s like, ‘All in due time,’ and the real goal is to find joy in the right now. Focusing on what I have right now is really good and not be concerned with things I can’t control: How other people see me, what they say, it’s wasted energy for me and it’s never done me any good.”

Chris Pine looks oh-so handsome while at the photo call for his movie Hell or High Water during the 2016 Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 16) in Cannes, France.

The 35-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-star Ben Foster and the director David Mackenzie. Later that evening, all three hit the red carpet premiere for the new movie.

The movie is about a divorced dad and his ex-con brother who resort to a desperate scheme in order to save their family’s farm in West Texas. Look out for the movie, in theaters on August 12.
